Import files from Files

Import image and video files from the Files app and add them to your library.

Method 1

  1. Tap the actions button on the bottom left of the thumbnails screen.
  2. Tap Add > Import Files...
  3. Choose image or video files to import.

Method 2

  1. Open the sidebar.
  2. Touch and hold the album you want to import files into.
  3. Tap Import Files...
If you import a folder(filesystem) to an album, all images and videos inside a folder(including subfolders) will be added to the album.
Files cannot be imported into a folder.

When importing, metadata from companion XMP sidecar files — such as keywords and title — is imported automatically when available.
