Terms

System
Refers to iOS, iPadOS, or macOS.
Local
Refers to something that exists only within HashPhotos on the specific device.
System Library
The photo library managed by the Apple Photos app. HashPhotos can directly manage albums and photos within this library.
Local Library
A photo library managed exclusively within HashPhotos, independent of Apple Photos. (See: Local Library Guide for more details.)
Folder
Used to group multiple albums and subfolders for better organization. A folder cannot contain individual photos or videos — only albums or other folders.
Album
These hold your photos and videos. Unlike folders, albums are where your actual media files are stored and managed.
System Keywords
Keywords managed by the Apple Photos app. Currently, they can only be added, edited, or deleted on macOS. On iOS and iPadOS, the Photos app does not provide keyword management but allows searching for existing keywords. When using iCloud Photos, any keyword changes made on macOS are synced across all devices.

Please refer to the guide Manage System Keywords for information on managing System Keywords in the HashPhotos app.
HashPhotos Keywords
Keywords added and managed within HashPhotos. These keywords can only be used within the HashPhotos app, and can be saved to metadata when sharing or exporting if the image format supports metadata.
Caption
A caption is a description of a photo. A caption can be added or edited in Photos app.
(iOS doesn't allow HashPhotos to add or edit a caption.)
Memo
HashPhotos manages "memo" as a description of a photo because iOS doesn't allow to add or edit a caption.
A memo is written to the metadata when sharing or exporting/transferring a photo in HashPhotos. (A memo overwrites a caption if a catpion exists.)
